Sally Davenport
Sally Davenport (who trades as Working Law Solicitors) qualified as a solicitor in 1988, initially doing a range of general litigation and family work. She was then lured to London and one of the large city firms, not by the bright lights but by the chance to do international commercial litigation, primarily for Spanish clients.
After two children, several years honing her Spanish in Central America and setting up her own translation business, the pull of the law proved too strong to resist and she returned to the UK, to the North Norfolk coast. Her husband’s unexpected redundancy rekindled an interest in employment law and this was pursued via volunteer work with the local CAB, a Masters degree in employment law at the University of East Anglia and two years with a Norwich firm. In September 2008 she set up her own firm.
Working Law Solicitors provides practical, jargon-free advice to employees and small businesses on all aspects of employment and discrimination law. Sally has office premises just outside Cromer but can arrange meeting rooms in Norwich if that is more convenient. She travels all over Norfolk to see clients as well.
